Welcome
My name is Alyssa J. M. Delp. I am a twenty two year old author who is in the process of publishing her first book. I mainly focus on fantasy writing, but enjoy dabbling in many other forms as well as reading them. My book A Crown of Deceit releases on March 29th, 2025.
My Story
I began writing A Crown of Deceit to help myself cope with the loss of my older brother. After losing him, I spiraled into a very dark place. It was easy to blame the universe or God or whoever I could in order to stop myself from feeling the full extent of his absence. Grief is something I've struggled with my entire life. I've lost both of my brothers at a young age as well as numerous other loved ones.
I found myself relating to characters such as Harry Potter, Aelin Galathynius, Nesta Archeron, Sirius Black, and multiple others in fictional worlds who have known loss. I wanted the chance to offer other readers the opportunity to find themselves in characters in books.
